Connecting experience across time
Healthcare is developing powerful capabilities along separate paths: continuous observation beyond the clinical encounter, increasingly extensive clinical histories, artificial intelligence that can reason across large volumes of information, improving interoperability, and a growing ability to connect interventions with outcomes.
This article considers what becomes possible when those capabilities converge. The opportunity is not simply to collect more data or build a more complete record. It is to develop a longitudinal understanding of the individual, learn from what happens over time, and make accumulated experience useful to what happens next.
The paper examines the relationships among observation, clinical context, interpretation, intervention, outcome and validation. Together, they describe an architecture—not a single product—for turning recorded experience into longitudinal health intelligence while keeping clinical judgment with the clinician.
